Taken

Taken is a movie with very straight and simple storyline. Daughter of an exCIA agent is being kidnapped while on a trip to Paris by human traffickers. The agent tracks and hunts them down one by one in search for his daughter. The ex CIA agent is Liam Neeson.

The film is directed by Pierre Morel and written by Luc Besson and Robert Mark Kamen. Now the question is : Why did Liam Neeson decided to do the role? Whatever may be the answer, he succeeded and the proof is box-office collection worldwide.

Anyway, I am a little confused here. The movie started and ended, but where was the thrill. It was supposed to be a slick action thriller, and in some parts it was. But it was not engaging, like MI:2, or in fact Le Femme Nikita or The Fifth Element directed by Luc Besson himself. Probably he forgot to write the good climax, the storyline of Taken deserved. One bullet and it’s all finished. Oh Please! Even in action sequences I wished characters were moving more than the camera. Liam Neeson was as usual honest to his character. About other character… well there were none. They got there 5 minutes of fame.

Good movie to watch if you are bored and nothing else to do.
